HI, I’M STÉPHANE DUCRET
… and I became what I had dreamed of becoming since I was a little boy : a professional visual artist (a painter)!
I am Swiss, born in Lausanne, and I hold a BFA and an MFA from HEAD (Haute école d'art et de design), Geneva, and have been a board member and teacher at ECAL (Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne), Lausanne.
I also founded two art galleries in New York and Geneva and ran l’elac in Lausanne.
In 2016, having felt that people needed a captivating experience to learn how to paint, I created ART CLASSE, a place for teaching knowledge, as much technical about painting as historical and contextual about artists, their backgrounds and works.
Since then, hundreds of participants have succeeded in painting many real “fake” paintings after famous great masters.
With over 35 years of experience in the art world, I offer unique and proven step-by-step painting instruction classes linked to current art practices!
And finally, thanks to my REAL/FAKE workshops, I myself have rediscovered the creative and technical inspiration for my individual practice, which has since grown considerably.
Find out more about it on my website, as well as the latest news on my upcoming exhibitions:
