HI, I’M STÉPHANE DUCRET
… and I became what I had dreamed of becoming since I was a little boy : a professional visual artist (a painter)!
I am Swiss, born in Lausanne, and I hold a BFA and an MFA from HEAD (Haute école d'art et de design), Geneva, and have been a board member and teacher at ECAL (Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne), Lausanne.
I also founded two art galleries in New York and Geneva and ran l’elac in Lausanne.
In 2016, having felt that people needed a captivating experience to learn how to paint with contemporary techniques and ways of creating art, I created ART CLASSE, a place for teaching knowledge.
There, in my ateliers REAL/FAKE, I teach techniques on how to paint and historical/contextual knowledge about artists, their backgrounds and works.
Since then, hundreds of participants have succeeded in painting many real “fake” paintings after famous great masters through my unique step-by-step painting instruction classes!
Naturally followed Team Building off site experiences for companies and Very Good Trips where I guide my public through art venues.
My teaching approach is also reflected in off-site team-building experiences for companies and Very Good Trips, where I guide participants through venues dedicated to contemporary art.
